This is an antique No Smoking Please train sign. This is a rare, valuable rectangular strip sign with the words “No Smoking Please / Smocking Car North End of Train” written in black, all capital text. The background of the sign is light blue, and vertical lines appear on the left and right ends of the sign. There are four mounting holes, two on the end of each sign. A second variation of this sign simply says, “Smoking Permitted” in all black, capital, text.
